Magnum Tate Tops Anderson Limited Late Model Race

Magnum Tate started Friday night’s Limited Late Model feature at Anderson Motor Speedway at the front of the field. He ended it in the same spot.

The Easley, South Carolina racer was fastest in qualifying, and went on to beat out Austin Somero for the victory at the 3/8-mile Williamston, South Carolina raceway.

The victory came in Tate’s first start of the season at Anderson.

Neil Meredith finished in third, with Justin Sorrow in fourth, and R.A. Brown in fifth.

Archie Adams, Jock White, Athens, Georgia’s Tanner Carter, John Gallman, and Chris Smith rounded out the top 10.

In other action, Chuck Mitchell took the victory in the BM Modifieds feature. Riley Gentry followed in second, with Scott Robinson in third, Bryan Mitchell in fourth, and Rodger Gentry in fifth.

Ryan Howard was the winner in the Mini Stock feature David Darnell was second, with Chad Campbell came third, with Jeff Turner fourth, and Ben Burnett fifth.

Riley Halverson held off Mitchell Thompson for the US Legends feature victory. Trevor Westor, Zack Alexander, and Brandon Johnson rounded out the top five.

Michael Mote crossed the finish line first to win the Pure Stocks feature over Chandler Gallman, with Chris Lawson in third, Danny Gilbert in fourth, and Shawn Thomason in fifth

Jaylen Norris topped the Young Guns field for the feature victory. Halee Whitfield followed in second, with Kenzie Davis in third, Camden Esco in fourth, and Jordan White in fifth.

Tommy Davis was the winner in the Front Wheel Drive feature, with Robert Hall second, Manuel Molleda third, Dannon Esco fourth, and Kenneth Bearden fifth.
