Keenan Vandygriff made the delay in the running of the Shamrock Skirmish at Georgia’s Lavonia Speedway worth the wait.
Vandygriff scored the win in the Ultimate Street Stock Challenge event at the 3/8-mile clay raceway on Saturday night, beating out Rod Tucker for the victory.
It marks the second win in the event for the Mount Pleasant, Tennessee speedster, who carried home a $5,000 payday to the Volunteer State.
Oakley Johns finished in third, with Devon Morgan in fourth, and Dalton Peavy in fifth.
Dalton Kirby, Bob Robertson, Clayton Miller, Luke Rutter, and Tyler Davis rounded out the top 10.
The SHARP Mini Late Models were also in attendance on the weekend, with Joey Shoen taking the feature win. Cody Morris followed in second, with Mitchell McNure in third.
In other Saturday action, Nathan Bray scored the victory in the 602 Late Model feature, with Nick Sellers second, Taylor Griffeth third, Hoyt Partain fourth, and Shane Yarbrough fifth.
Jackson Monroe topped the Stock 8 feature, with Drew Griffeth in second, followed by Tommy Davis in third, John Lock in fourth, and Jeff Boddie in fifth.
Several divisions were also in action on Friday night, which saw Mitchell McNure score the win in the SHARP Mini Late Model feature. Joey Schoen came across the line in second, with Zeke Whitman in third, and Cody Morris in fourth.
Ronnie Johnson was the winner in the Stock 4 feature, with Jamie Massey, Elliott Brayboy, Cameron Fowler, and Bryson Briscoe rounding out the top five.
Bryan Tullis was first under the checkered flag for the 602 Chargers win. Johnny Crews followed in second, with Rex Hambrick in third.
Anthony Stephens took the victory in the Stock 8 feature over Ricky Chamberlain, followed by Drew Griffeth in third, Tommy Davis in fourth, and David Brown in fifth.
Trey Chapman picked up the win in the Front Wheel Drive feature, with Joel Cabe second, Kyle Shipman third, Clinton Taylor fourth, and Lee Mason fifth.
