Mitchell Duvall is now two-for-two at Georgia’s Lavonia Speedway.

Duvall powered to the Mid-East Street Stock victory on Friday night, adding to his win total after scoring a win earlier this season at the 3/8-mile clay raceway.

Duvall started the night by setting fast time in qualifying. He followed it up by jumping to the lead in the feature, and ran uncontested to the win and a $1,500 payday.

Andy Stewart followed in second, with Dalton Peavy in third, Sterling Helm in fourth, and Dalton Kirby in fifth.

Blake Pryor, Justin Hart, Donovan Long, Greg Parks, and Bob Robertson rounded out the top 10.

In other action, Nathan Bray started on the outside of the front row of the 602 Late Model feature, and got the jump on Rod Roberts on the drop of the green flag. From there, he held off Cody Overton to record the victory. Roberts followed in third, with Parris Simmons in fourth, and Chris Woods in fifth.

Cy Strickland took the lead from pole sitter Billy Thompson early on in the Open Wheel Modified feature, and never relinquished in en route to the victory. Grayson Wells followed in second, with Thompson in third, David Dove in fourth, and James Campbell in fifth.

Chris Cape jumped out to the early lead in the Stock 8 feature, and went on to edge out Keith Baker for the victory. Zane Anders, David Brown, and Mike Oglesby rounded out the top five.

Koulten Herbert bypassed pole sitter Bryson Robinson to take the lead on the opening lap of the 602 Charger Late Model feature. Herbert went on to score the win, with Robinson in second, and Bryce Muchow in third.

Cameron Fowler looked to be on his way to another Young Guns feature victory, only to see his night go south with engine issues. That handed the lead to Justyn Jacobs, who went on to record the victory. Cohen Fortson followed in second, with Aiden White in third.

The Front Wheel Drive feature was marred by a scary moment early on when Stacy Foster’s car made contact with the outside wall, sending the car rolling over before landing right side up. Fortunately, Foster was uninjured in the crash.

Meanwhile, Chris Meadows went on to take the victory, with Jake McBride in second, Tony Stevens in third, Wayne Glenn in fourth, and Darrien Norwood in fifth.

Lavonia Speedway is scheduled to return to action on Friday, August 12, as the raceway plays host to the USCS Sprint Car Series. For more information, visit LavoniaSpeedway.net.
