Brady Cornett Dominates For 602 Thunder Win At Toccoa

Brady Cornett started the night by turning fast time in City Chevrolet 602 Thunder Series qualifying at Georgia’s Toccoa Raceway on Saturday.

He ended it with a trip to victory lane at the historic 3/8-mile clay raceway.

The Carnesville, Georgia speedster powered to the lead on the drop of the green flag, and then led wire-to-wire en route to the win.

Dale Timms followed in second, with Kevin Stephens in third, Baillie Lowe in fourth, and Nick Schlager in fifth.

Ricky Smith, David McCoy, Luke Cooper, Crandall Turner, and John Howard rounded out the top 10.

In other action, Taylor Puckett held off David McCoy to win the Limited Late Model feature. Daniel Wilson finished third, with Stephen Segars fourth, and David Conley fifth.

Justin Smith topped the 602 Charger field for the feature win. Dillon Bartlett followed in second, with Jerry Buice in third, Riley Nash in fourth and Roy Hardman in fifth.

Chad Puckett crossed the finish line first to win the Modified Street feature, with Billy Buffington in second, Spud Nicholson in third, Chad Sellers in fourth, and Chad Sexton in fifth.

Terry Calhoun continued his dominance in the Pro Trucks division with another feature win. Matt Ferguson followed in second, with Bill Pulliam in third.

Brian Nickerson took the victory in the Open Wheel Modified feature. Chuck Southard, Jimmy Motes, Brady Stephens, and Roger Mealey rounded out the top five.

Ricky Jones was the winner in the Stock 8 feature. Lee Parsons finished second, with Jeremy Wilder third, Terry Calhoun fourth and Mark Anders fifth.

Jamie Massey scored the win in the Stock 4 feature, with Randy Boshears in second, Ryan Crawford in third, Matt Maxwell in fourth, and Kenneth Stephens in fifth.

Stephen Shedd held off Wayne Chapman to take the win in the Front Wheel Drive feature, with Tony Stephens in third and Cameron Booth in fourth.
