Zack Mitchell dominated Friday night’s Buck Simmons Memorial for the Carolina Clash Super Late Models to get the victory at Georgia’s Lavonia Speedway.
The Enoree, South Carolina speedster took the lead from the outside of the front row to take the lead in the 41-lap feature, and led the rest of the way for the $4,000 victory on the 3/8-mile clay raceway.
Brent Dixon followed in second, with Pearson Lee Williams in third, Adam Yarbrough in fourth and Kenny Collins in fifth.
In other action, Royce Bray topped the 602 Late Model feature, beating out Rod Roberts for the victory. Parris Simmons finished in third, with David McCoy in fourth and Chris Ausburn in fifth.
Dylan Beavers and Drake Parson battled back and forth in the 602 Chargers feature, with Beavers going on to take the win. Parson followed in second, with Koulton Herbert in third, Dylan Bartlett in fourth, and Walt Clough in fifth.
Michael Segars was flagged the winner of the Stock 8 feature after a fierce battle with David Dove, but saw the win go away when he failed post race tech inspection. That gave the win to Dove, with Ricky Chamberlain, David Brown, Wilton Bailey and Dustin Moore rounding out the top five.
Cameron Fowler took the lead early on in the Young Guns feature, and went on to take the victory. Bryson Briscoe finished second, with Wade Harrison third, Aiden White fourth, and Jaylan Standridge fifth.
Ricky Hill led wire-to-wire to score the win in the Front Wheel Drive feature. Chase Stevens followed in second, with Travis Jamieson in third, Mitchell Coggins in fourth, and Phoenix Lawter in fifth.
