Bubba Pollard scored a home state victory in Southern Super Series action on Saturday night at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia.
The Senoia, Georgia speedster powered around Daniel Dye on lap 73 of the Georgia Spring Nationals.
From there, Pollard drove to the win at the 3/8-mile paved oval.
But it wasn’t as simple as it might sound. Pollard came away with left front damage after contact with
Jackson Boone brought out the first caution of the night. After making repairs, Pollard begin methodically working his way back through the field.
In the end, it was Pollard celebrating in victory lane.
Jett Noland followed in second, with Dye in third, Stephen Nasse in fourth, and Monroe, Georgia’s Jake Garcia in fifth.
Matt Craig, Kyle Plott, Michael Atwell, Steve Dorer, and Michael Hinde rounded out the top 10.
