Randy Weaver, Tyler Millwood and Jimmy Owens scored victories over the Memorial Day holiday weekend in Georgia and Tennessee to wrap up the 2021 Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series.

Weaver was the winner on Saturday night at Georgia’s Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia, while Millwood won on Sunday night at Georgia’s Rome Speedway. Owens closed out the extended weekend with a win on Monday night at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tennessee.

In the process, Chickamauga, Georgia’s Dale McDowell clinched his second career Spring Nationals championship.

On Saturday night, Weaver led flag-to-flag en route to the win at Dixie Speedway. Weaver got the jump on outside front row starter Austin Horton, and drove on to his third career series win and the $4,053 winner’s paycheck.

Brandon Overton finished in second, with Horton in third, McDowell in fourth and Zack Mitchell in fifth.

On Sunday night, Tyler Millwood took advantage when leaders McDowell and Horton suffered misfortune to move to the lead and the win at Rome Speedway.

McDowell’s car suffered a flat tire, while Horton was sidelined with a buster radiator. That moved Millwood, from Kingston, Georgia to the point with 11 laps to go. From there, he went on to bag $4,053 in his first career series win.

Dawsonville, Georgia’s Donald McIntosh followed in second, with Jason Croft, Weaver and McDowell rounding out the top five.

On Monday, the tour moved to it’s final stop of the season at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tennessee for the Scott Sexton Memorial.

Jimmy Owens became the first repeat winner of the series after working his way forward form a third place starting spot. Owens worked past Weaver to take the lead on lap 25, and drove away to pick up the win and a $10,052 paycheck.

Weaver finished second, with Ashton Winger third, McDowell fourth and Mike Marlar fifth.

Dale McDowell’s fourth place finish was all he needed to wrap up the 2021 series championship. McDowell drove to the title on the power of one victory and a string of consistent finishes. He was awarded the $10,053 champion’s top prize for his efforts.
