Jordon Mallett and Conner Leoffler made trips to USCS Sprint Car Series victory lane in the Battle at the Beach over the weekend at Southern Raceway in Milton, Florida.
Mallett was the winner on Friday night, with Leoffler winning on Saturday.
On Friday, Mallett raced form the pole to the win in the 25-lap feature, edging out Leoffler for the win.
It marks the second win of the season for the Greenbrier, Arkansas racer, who had been on a seven week hiatus after breaking his arm in an off-track accident.
Danny Smith followed in third, with Kyle Amerson in fourth and Hayden Campbell in fifth.
Smith, Campbell and Terry Witherspoon won their respective heat races, while Terry Gray won in the speed dash.
Conner Leoffler bettered his run on Friday night by one position on Saturday, as the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina native passed pole sitter Mark Ruel, Jr. on the final lap of the 30-lap feature to score the victory.
It’s the fourth career series win for Leoffler, who was the 2020 series Rookie of the Year.
Ruel, Jr. crossed the finish line just three car lengths behind the winner in second. Brandon Blendon followed in third, with Jordon Mallett in fourth and Hayden Campbell in fifth.
Landon Britt, Leoffler, and Nick Snyder won their respective heat races, while Mallett won the speed dash.
