Hernandez Wins Again In Boyd’s Late Model Action

Tod Hernandez scored his second straight Late Model feature victory on Friday night at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia.

The Chattanooga, Tennessee racer beat out Robby Mason to pick up his second win of the year at the 1/3-mile clay raceway.

Ronnie Johnson followed in third, with Brian Burke in fourth and Josh Walker in fifth.

Tim Thorton , Gwynn Newby, Dewayne Powell, Tyler Nichols and Brent Clark rounded out the top 10.

In other action, Booger Brooks topped the Crate 604 feature field to record the win. Jesse Lowe finished in second, with Jake Knowles in third, Logan Palmer in fourth and Chase Oliver in fifth.

Sawyer Tinker grabbed the victory in the Sportsman 602 feature, followed by Chris Hough in second, Morgan Alexander in third, Matt Steward in fourth and Cade Brookshire in fifth.

Johnny Hughes was the winner in the B-Hobby feature. Jim Gilbert, Brandon Francis, Lamar Hughes and Chris Williams rounded out the top five.

Blake Broome was first under the checkered flag in the Beginner feature, with Jeb Merriman second, Andrew Moody third, Kelby Norwood fourth and Steve Eddington fifth.

Cody Rector scored the victory in the Front Wheel Drive feature. Billy Bailey followed in second, with James Drummond in third, Jack Gresham in fourth and Austin Cope in fifth.
