The Peach State Classic Super Late Model race at Gresham Motorsports Park has been cancelled due to the imminent sale of the Jefferson, Georgia raceway, according to a release on the track’s website.

Officials for the event, which was slated for October 22-24 at the high banked, half-mile asphalt track, announced in a release on the track’s website that the event had been cancelled after the owner of the facility, Jim Gresham, informed them earlier in the week that a letter of intent for the sale of the track had been signed.

“The 2020 event date cannot be held during the due diligence process for the completion of the purchase,” the release stated.

The event was intended to be a co-sanctioned race for both the Southern Super Series and the CARS Racing Tour, with other events scheduled in support of the race weekend.
