Brad Howard took advantage of an early defeat for Super Pro points leader Susan Spikes to gain ground with a victory in Saturday’s Summit ET Drag Racing Series event at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia.
The Gainesville, Georgia, racer scored his first win by defeating Dalton Rogers in the finals.
Howard dialed in a 4.78 and ran a 4.769 (break out) ET at 143.75 MPH and a 0.027 reaction in the final. Rogers dialed in a 5.15 and ran a 5.163 ET, but he had a red light start a -0.002 reaction, running 132.30 MPH.
Other winners on the day included Jeff Voyles in Pro, Harold Wilson in Sportsman, Jayton Duggar in Jr. Street, Tim Sutton in Super Pro Bike, Cooper Hancock in 5-9 Jr. Dragster, Alayna Carden in 10-12 Jr. Dragster and Jacob Wilson in 13-17 Jr. Dragster.
