Joe Goddard found a sure fire way to ensure a victory in Saturday’s Summit ET Drag Racing Series action at the Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia. He faced off against himself in the Super Pro final.
Not surprisingly, given the circumstances, he won.
The Loganville, Georgia racer entered two cars, his 2002 Undercover Dragster and his 1969 Chevy Nova in the division on the day, and worked his way to the final round on both sides.
In the end, he had to decide which car he wanted to win in, and went with the Dragster by simply taking the light and breaking the beam.
In the Semi-finals, Goddard defeated Daulton Rogers in the Dragster, while he used the Nova to best Chris Kittle on the other side.
Other winners on the day included Eric Smith in Pro, Tim Keeton in Sportsman, Scott Shimisch in Super Pro Bike, Cooper Hancock in 5-9 JR Dragster, Alayna Carden in 10-12 JR Dragster and Hayden Wilson in 13-17 JR Dragster.
