Carson Ferguson led flag-to-flag en route to the win in Saturday night’s Paratrooper 50 for the FASTRAK Racing Series at Georgia’s historic Toccoa Raceway.
After setting fast time in qualifying and winning his heat race, the Charlotte, North Carolina racer beat out fellow Charlotte speedster Matt Long for the win at the 5/16-mile clay speedway.
It marks Ferguson’s second straight series victory, allowing him to build on his points lead for the FASTRAK tour.
Commerce, Georgia’s Payton Freeman race to a third place finish, with Jensen Ford in fourth and Nick Schlager in fifth.
Trae Kirk was the winner in the FASTRAK 602 feature, with Barron McDowell in second and Kyle Stallard in third.
In local division action, Kenny Collins scored his third straight Limited Late Model feature victory, beating out Drew Benfield and Clayton Turner for the win.
In the Safety Plus 602 Sportsman feature, Crandall Turner raced back to victory lane, with John Price in second and Ricky Smith in third.
Sterling Helm held off Jake DeLong for the win in the Modified Street feature, with Josh Thurmond following in third.
Bill Pulliam notched his sixth straight feature win in the Toccoa Pro Truck race, with James Justice in second.
Jackie Holden made his third straight trip to Toccoa’s victory lane again in the Stock
4 Cylinder feature. Randy Boshears came home in second, followed by Jamie Brown in third.
Tim Corbin scored his first Stock 8 feature victory, topping Ricky Jones in second and Nickoli Holcomb in third.
