Luke Sorrow raced to his first Late Model Stock feature win of the season at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, South Carolina Friday night.
The Belton, South Carolina driver made his first major step towards defending his 2018 division title by holding off current points leader Ashton Higgins for the victory at the 3/8-mile asphalt speedplant.
After starting third, Sorrow worked his way to the point, and went on to score the win, with Higgins in second, Sam Yarbrough in third, R.A. Brown in fourth and Brandon Lemke in fifth.
David Roberts, Kenneth Headen, Magnum Tate, Matt Cox and Archie Adams rounded out the top ten.
In other action, Bryan Mitchell edged out Austin Northcutt for the win in the BM Modifieds feature. Jamie Winslett followed in third, with Sam Brown in Fourth and Alan Mitchell in fifth.
David Darnell made his first trip of the season to Anderson’s victory lane with a win in the Mini Stock feature. Ryan Howard finished second, with Chad Campbell third, Bobby Brock fourth and Jeff Turner fifth.
Cody Hall scored the victory in the US Legends feature. Bryan Ruff, Will Robusto, Isabella Robusto and Ashton Whitener rounded out the top five.
Andrew Cordell took his fourth Pure Stock feature victory of the season. Mike Mote trailed in second, with Roger Gentry in third, Jamie McCall in fourth and Eric Burgess in fifth.
Scott Parker also picked up win number four on the season in the Front Wheel Drive feature, with Robert Hall in second, Joshua Thomason in third, Travis Barbare in fourth and Manuel Molleda in fifth.
