The torrential rains seen in the southeast on Friday and Saturday not only led to headaches for motorists on the roadways, but it also put the kibosh on races and events at area speedways.
The Max King Memorial at Georgia’s Lavonia Speedway was washed out on Friday. The event has been rescheduled to this Friday, April 26. Check LavoniaSpeedway.net for more information.

Up the road in Williamston, South Carolina, the Southeast Super Truck Series event scheduled for Anderson Motor Speedway on Saturday night was a wash. Georgia’s Senoia Raceway also saw their 50th anniversary schedule affected by the rainfall, as the weather caused track officials to cancel Saturday’s planned event. Tennessee’s historic Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway was slated to finally open the 2019 season, but wet weather again won out.
