Bubba Pollard Powers To Senoia Crate Late Model Win

In the past, the measure of a strong Late Model race driver was how well they did on both asphalt and dirt.

With that in mind, Senoia, Georgia’s Bubba Pollard continues to prove himself as one of the most talented all-around drivers in the country.

The asphalt ace did so by scoring the win in Saturday night’s Crate Late Model feature at Georgia’s Senoia Raceway, his hometown 3/8-mile dirt speedway.

After battling side-by-side for the opening two laps with Marty Massey, Pollard moved to the point and built an advantage over the field.

Pollard went on to score the victory, with Matthew Wyatt in second. Massey finished in third, with Tina Johnson in fourth and Josh Copeland in fifth.

In other action, 15-year-old McKenna Nelms held off a strong challenge through the late stages of the Late Model Sportsman feature to score her first career win at Senoia.Buddy George finished in second, with Lance Harris in third, Parrish Duncan in fourth and Jason Turner in fifth.

Austin Horton won the early race tussle with four-time track champion Clint Smith, and went on to score the Limited Late Model feature victory. Smith came home in second, with Jacques Daniel in third, Matt Dooley in fourth and Rucker Orr in fifth.

Curtis Turner took the win in the Bomber feature, with Dustin Smith in second, Vern Miller in third, Shannon Stephens in fourth and Larry Pierce in fifth.

Landon DeGraff scored the win in the Hobby feature. T.J. Joiner, Ben Wells, Larry Bednar and Keith West rounded out the top five.

Brandon Bright was the winner in the Chargers feature. Scott Amoson finished in second, followed by John Holcomb in third, Chad Atha in fourth and Brant Hardin in fifth.
