Jason Hiett kicked off the 2019 campaign at Boyd’s Speedway by rolling to the victory in Saturday night’s “Cabin Fever 40” Super Late Model feature at the Ringgold, Georgia raceway.
The Oxford, Alabama racer edged out Dillon Tidmore to take the win and the $3,000 top prize. Justin Shipley finished in third, with Justin Litchford in fourth and Cruz Skinner in fifth.
David Brannon, Tyler Millwood, Anna Parkhurst, Justin Owens and J.T. Seawright rounded out the top ten.
In other action, Cory Hedgecock took home top honors in the Crate Late Model feature, with Jimmy Elliott in second, Cruz Skinner in third, Chip Brindle in fourth and David Kay in fifth.
Hometown hero Ronnie Johnson was the winner in the Sportsman feature. Booger Brooks crossed the finish line in second, with Craig Scott in third, Matt Steward in fourth and Adam Mitchell in fifth.
Brad Cross scored the victory in the Hot Shot feature, edging out Jacob Sharp for the win. Shannon Hollifield was third, followed by Jake Duncon in fourth and Todd Duncan in fifth.
Mike Franks took top honors win the Hobby feature, with Derek Franks, James Burkhart, Brandon Stanfield and Jason Brown rounding out the top five.
Evan Wrinkle, Jr. was the winner in the Super Stock feature. Tommy Gilbert was second, with Jim Gilbert third, Chad McLemore fourth and Tyler Dixon fifth.
Roger Morrow took the victory in the Driver Development feature, with Carden Cochran in second, Hayden Swaney in third, Cade Brookshire in fourth and Joey Payne in fifth.
Lucas Lee topped the Open Wheel Modified field to take the feature win. Carden Cochran finished in second, followed by Hayden Swaney in third, Cade Brookshire in fourth and Joey Payne in fifth.
