Spring, Southern, Fall Nationals 2019 Dates Announced

The 2019 schedules for the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series, Southern Nationals Series and Fall Nationals Series were revealed last week.

Total purses, points funds and nightly bonuses are nearly $900,000 for the three Ray Cook-promoted tours while remaining the original premier set of regional racing series in the United States.

The Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series two-week tour will be entering its 15th season. South Carolina’s Cherokee Speedway returns to the schedule for the first time since 2010 paying $10,000-to-win on Sunday, July 14. Five events out of the 11 pay $10,000-to-win. Seymour, Tennessee’s 411 Motor Speedway will be the second to final event on the schedule paying $10,000-to-win. The 2019 Champion will receive $5,053 for his efforts. Casey Roberts of Toccoa, Georgia is the defending series champion.

The Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series will be entering the seventh season of competition in 2019. The series features eight new tracks including Oglethorpe Speedway Park in Pooler, Georgia, Cochran Motor Speedway in Cochran, Georgia, Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama, Blue Ridge Motorsports Park in Chatsworth, Georgia, Toccoa Raceway in Toccoa, Georgia, Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, Tennessee, Clay Valley Speedway in Coeburn, Virginia and 411 Motor Speedway.

The Series will have at least one $10,000-to-win event on each of the six weekend events. The tour champion will receive $5,053. The 411 Motor Speedway event on May 27 will be co-sanctioned with the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series. Eric Wells of Hazard, Kentucky is the defending series champion.

The Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series, which is beginning its first full season of competition, features scheduled dates from August until November with a couple of dates to be announced. The Tazewell Speedway event on September 1 will be co-sanctioned with the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series. The series schedule is highlighted by four-$10,000-to-win events. David Payne of Murphy, North Carolina is the defending Bonus Series points champion. The Bonus Series now becomes the Fall Nationals.
