Bright Wins Eighth Straight Bomber Feature At Senoia

Dorough Bright has been unstoppable since April in the Bomber division at Georgia’s Senoia Raceway.

The 60-year-old from Newnan, Georgia won his eighth straight feature on Saturday night, leading flag-to-flag en route to the victory.

Curtis Turner finished in second, followed by Mike Nelms in third, Michael Thomas in fourth and John Holder in fifth.

In other action, Jody Knowles held off Joey Armistead to score his first Limited Late Model feature win of the season. Dennis Hale finished in third, with Matt Dooley in fourth and Russ Ogletree in fourth.

Corey Payton went for a wild ride on lap 19 of the Limited Late Model feature. Payton jumped the wall in turn one and came to rest on top of the concrete next to the turn two spectators. Nobody was hurt, but Payton had to retire to the pits after suffering damage to the underside of his car.

Cruz Skinner used the high side of the speedway to track down Mason Massey in the Crate Late Model feature. Skinner would lead the rest of the way for the victory, with Massey finishing in second ahead of a Chaz Haskins.

Cory Compton held off Keith Fields for the win in the Late Model Sportsman feature, with Jason Williams, Blant Duke and Tanner Collins rounding out the top five.

Other winners included Mark Newton in Mini Stock, Keith West in Hobby, Trey Chapman in Hot Shots and Ted Minnix in Chargers.
