McCoy Motors To Limited Late Model Victory At Lavonia

Friday the 13th might be unlucky for some, but not for David McCoy.

The Franklin, North Carolina speedster powered to the Limited Late Model feature victory Friday night at Georgia’s Lavonia Speedway.

McCoy held off another strong local driver, Bubba Russell, to score the win on the 3/8th mile clay raceway.

Daniel Wilson finished in third, followed by Clayton Turner in fourth and Dustin Mincey in fifth.

In other action, Payton Freeman edged out Brent Dixon to take the Crate Late Model feature win. Dale Timms came home in third, with Larry Timms in fourth and Nick Schlager in fifth.

Royce Bray took top honors in the Modified Street feature, with Kyle Gordon in second and C.S. Roberts in third.

Evan Brown topped the Stock V8 field to take the feature win. Jack Hill trailed in second, with Chance Segars in third and Kevin Rich in fourth.

In the Hobby/602 feature, Dustin Morris held off veteran wheelman Steve “Hot Rod” LaMance to score the victory. Chris Cape, Crandall Turner and Mark Wilbanks rounded out the top five.

Tyler Riddle was the winner in the Stock 4 feature, with Bubba Nation in second, Joey Kelly in third and Jeffrey Lord in fourth.

Preston Kelly edged Logan Beard for the Beginner 4 feature victory. Tanner Nation finished third, with Zack Stewart fourth.

Wayne Chapman scored the win in the Front Wheel Drive feature, with Will Harris in second, D.J. Carey in third, Eddie Segars in fourth and Timothy Jones in fifth.
