Hometown hero Joey Armistead inched out in front of Shane Fulcher at the finish line to score the Limited Late Model feature at Georgia’s Senoia Raceway on Saturday night.

Armistead, who hails from Senoia, Georgia, scored the win by only only .035 seconds to pocket a $1,000 payday for his efforts.

Armistead stayed steady throughout the feature, as he worked his way to the back bumper of Fulcher to battle for the lead. With five laps to go, Armistead began pressuring the leader, setting up the final lap battle for the win.

Dennis Hale finished in third, Rucker Orr in fourth and Bobby Mills in fifth.

Clint Smith inherited the top spot in the Crate Late Model feature after the leaders tangled on a lap 20 restart. From there, Smith went on to score the win. Mason Massey finished in second, followed by Marty Massey in third, Chaz Haskins in fourth and Steven Bloodworth in fifth.

Ashton Winger scored the Late Model Sportsman feature win, with Brandon McDaniel in second, Craig Scott in third, Dylan Knowles in fourth and Cory Compton in fifth.

Jamie Nicholson, Sr. returned to victory lane for the first time since April winning the Mini Stock feature. Tommy Faulkner finished in second, with Gary Parker in third, Bo Chambers in fourth and Bob Faulkner in fifth.

Dorough Bright extended his Bomber division win streak by claiming his fourth straight victory Saturday night. Scott Amoson finished in second, followed by Abe Chase in third.

Landon DeGraff was first across the line in the Hobby feature, but was found to have an illegal nose piece in post race inspection. That gave the win to Ted Willingham, with Chris Kozusnik, Josh Pitt, Keith West and Ben Wells rounding out the top five.

Senoia Raceway will host the 21st Annual Michael Head, Jr. Memorial Race on Saturday, June 23, headlined by the Southern All-Stars Tour.
