Bailey Williams beat out Oliver Gentry and Cruz Skinner to claim his first career Limited Late Model victory at Georgia’s Senoia Raceway on Saturday night.
The Fayetteville, Georgia teenager led every lap on his way to victory lane, but had to survive a pair of late race restarts to secure the win.
Williams took the lead at the on-set of the feature, winning a three-wide battle with Dennis Hale and Thomas Lewis. Williams gained a sizeable lead over the field working lapped traffic to near perfection until lap 23 when Matt Bishop climbed the back straightaway wall and rolled his car over on to the roof.
On the first restart, Dennis Hale tried to get low on Williams, but made contact with the inside wall, sending Hale back up the track into on coming traffic where he was hit by Corey Payton, ending both driver’s nights.
On the second restart, Williams charged back to the lead, and moved away to score the win. Gentry settled for second, with Skinner in third, Chris Fennell in fourth, and Brand Lewis in fifth.
In other action, Michael Page took the lead from Shane Clanton on lap 16 of the Super Late Model feature, and went on to score the win. T.J. Reaid came home in third, Austin Horton in fourth, and Zach Leonhardi in fifth.
Ashton Winger led every lap of the Crate Late Model feature to claim his first win of the season. Clint Smith finished in second, followed by Jody Knowles in third, Dow Kirkland in fourth and Jamie Maurice in fifth.
Dylan Knowles took the win in the Late Model Sportsman feature. Wiley McDaniel finished in second, with Keith Fields in third, Matt Thompson in fourth and Levi Campbell in fifth.
Ted Willingham scored the victory in the Hobby feature, with Tim Harmon, Blake Harmon, Brandon Henderson, and Jamie Garner rounding out the top five.
Shannon Stephens took top honors in the Bomber feature, edging out Larry Pierce for the win. McKenna Nelms came home in third, with John Holcomb in fourth, and Bud Roland in fifth.
Harold Leath was the winner in the Mini Stock feature. Bobby Faulkner was second, with Joshua Till third, Tommy Faulkner fourth, and Wesley Patterson fifth.
Steve Partin scored the victory in the Legends feature, followed by Steve Duderstadt in second, John Gutman in third, Cale Hall in fourth, and Jacob Owens in fifth.
Jason Turner took the win in the Sportsman Charger feature. Randy Cornwell came across the line in second, followed by Johnny Stinchcomb in third, Jamie Nicholson, Jr. in fourth and Scott Gaddy in fifth.
