Ken Lampp held off a hard charging Chris Woods to score the Limited Late Model feature victory Saturday night at Georgia’s Winder-Barrow Speedway.
Lampp jumped to the early lead on the outside around Woods, then worked to build up an advantage over the field. That advantage went away quickly thanks to an early caution.
On the restart, Lampp again jumped out front with Woods and Shawn Tullis in pursuit. Woods stayed close to Lampp, keeping him honest over the opening laps of the race.
Woods tried time and again to get to the inside of Lampp’s machine, but each time Lampp held off the challenge.
In the end, Lampp scored the win by about a six car length margin over Woods. Tullis held off several challenges from Lance Finn to finish in third, while Finn had to settle for fourth.
In other action, Chad Stinchcomb held off Jerome Hanson to score the Hobby feature victory. Shawn Tullis finished in third, with Dustin Cason in fourth and Andy Barton in fifth.
Keith Wright took home top honors in the Modified Street feature, with Jordan Poole in second, Aaron Criswell in third, Ronnie Poole in fourth and Jennifer Everett in fifth.
Tim Corbin was the winner in the Stock V8 feature. Mark Chancey, Zach Brown, Trey Pilgrim and Ronnie Poole rounded out the top five.
Justin Taylor scored the win in the Stock 4A feature, with Shane Peppers second, P.J. Taylor third, Allen Cantrell fourth and Roger Cothran fifth.
Franklin Sargent recorded the victory in the Stock 4B feature. James Robinson finished in second, with Brandon Franklin in third, Randall Jenkins in fourth and Elliott Brayboy in fifth.
