Michael Bruce drove to the Super Pro victory on Saturday in Summit ET Drag Racing action at the Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia.
Bruce defeated Gary Dunn by running a 4.875 ET on a 4.88 dial in (break out) at 141.86 mph and with a reaction time of 0.004. Dunn ran an 11.361 ET on his dial in of 4.61 at 44.13 mph and a red light start of -0.002.
In other action, seven time track champion Chad Brewer, defeated Woody Bryant in the Pro final. Brewer ran a 6.830 ET off his 6.78 dial in at 98.41 mph and a 0.005 reaction time. Bryant ran a 6.702 ET on a dial in of 6.67 at 102.54 mph and a 0.034 reaction.
In the Sportsman final, Scott Reynolds got the win over J. D. Buford. Reynolds ran a 13.290 ET on his 13.25 dial in at 105.20 mph and a 0.021 reaction time. Buford ran a 012.060 ET off his 12.06 dial in (dead on) at 115.02 mph but left a big red eye glowing with a reaction time of -0.009.
Jimmy Heisler defeated Carr Craft for the Super Pro Bike win. Heisler ran a 10.658 ET on his dial of 10.58 at 124.93 mph and a reaction of 0.060. Craft ran a 9.080 ET off his dial in of 8.74 at 153.81 mph and a 0.054 reaction time.
In the Street ET Bike final, Randy Barnett defeated Jordan Autrey for the victory. Barnett ran a 9.376 ET of a 9.30 dial in at 136.66 mph and a great reaction of 0.006. Autrey ran a 9.466 ET off his 9.30 dial in at 143.22 mph and a 0.044 reaction time.
In the final, 5-9 JR Dragster finale, 8-year-old Malachi Edwards defeated 9-year-old Stephen Skelton for the win. Edwards ran 12.125 ET on his 11.97 dial in at 5.40 mph and a 0.180 reaction. Skelton ran a 12.08 ET off his 11.90 dial in at 54.46 mph but had a red light reaction of -0.092.
Twelve-year-old Cannon Stiles defeated 11-year-old Kimberly Vancica for the 10-12 JR Dragster victory. Stiles ran an 8.876 ET on his 8.90 dial in (break out) at 74.54 mph and a 0.130 reaction time. Vancica ran an 8.850 ET off her 8.90 dial in (worse break out) at 74.21 mph and a reaction of 0.007.
In the 13-17 JR Dragster final, Maddie Kate Halsey, age 16, defeated Brycen Hartman (13) with a 7.916 ET off her 7.90 dial in at 82.32 mph and a 0.083 reaction. Hartman ran a 7.960 ET on his dial in of 7.94 at 82.15 mph but had a red light start of -0.066.
In the JR Street final, Jackson Earwood (14) defeated Makaila Hinsley (16). Earwood ran a 11.364 ET on his dial in of 11.33 at 61.65 mph and a 0.051 reaction time. Hinsley ran an 11.588 ET off her 11.54 dial in at 63.63 mph and a reaction of 0.113.
The winner in each of the 5 classes, Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, Super Pro Bike and Street ET bike competed in the once yearly King of the Track race. Each made one pass on their respected dial ins and the best package wins. Chad Brewer ran one over his dial in and a 13 on reaction time to score the win
