McCoy Motors To Memorial Day Weekend Win At Toccoa

David McCoy started Sunday’s Limited Late Model feature at Georgia’s Toccoa Raceway in the number one spot.

That’s where he finished it as well, as the Franklin, North Carolina driver took the victory in the Memorial Day Celebration at the historic 5/16 mile clay speedway.

McCoy started the feature from the pole, and went on to hold off outside pole sitter Wesley English to record his fifth feature victory of the season.

Stephen Segars crossed the finish line in third, with Gus Simpson in fourth and Darryl Matheson in fifth.

Chris Woods, David Conley, Randy Nichols, Shun Thomas and Josh Thurmond rounded out the top ten.

In other action, Parker Herring scored the FASTRAK Pro Late Model feature win, with Frankie Beard in second, Adam Smith in third, Drew Benfield in fourth and Colby Cannon in fifth.

The SHARP Mini Late Model Series made a visit to Toccoa on Sunday, with Jody Sparks taking the feature victory. Richard Johnson finished in second, with Michael Chance in third and Brad Anderson in fourth.

Nick Sellers took the victory in the 602 Sportsman/Hobby feature. Brandon Stroud came home in second, followed by Branden Loudermilk in third, Crandall Turner in fourth and John Howard in fifth.

Rusty Jordan was the winner in the Modified Street feature, with Justin Sims in second, Sterling Helm in third, Josh Thurmond in fourth and Robbie Campbell in fifth.

Coon Ayers scored the victory in the Toccoa Pro Truck feature, followed by Coon Ayers in second, Jimmy Motes in third, Terry Calhoun in fourth and Bill Pulliam in fifth.

Kevin Kelly took top honors in the Stock 4 feature, with Jackie Holden, Randy Boshears, Harley Holden and Bobby Rhinehart rounding out the top five.

In the Stock V8 feature, it was Jeremy Jones taking the checkered flag first, with James Campbell second, Steven House third, Hayden Collett fourth and Jeff Casper fifth.

Jackie Holden was the winner in the Front Wheel Drive feature. Travis Jamieson finished in second, with Justin Reed in third.
