Millington, Gibbs Split Hickory Late Model Stock Features

Ryan Millington and Ty Gibbs both made trips to victory lane on Saturday night, as they split twin 40 lap Late Model Stock Car features at North Carolina’s historic Hickory Motor Speedway.

Millington would jump to the early lead in the first feature, with Landon Huffman giving chase. Charlie Watson soon moved up to challenge, eventually taking second from Huffman.
But Millington would not be denied, as he drove to the victory. Watson finished second, with Huffman in third, Colby Howard in fourth and Annabeth Barnes-Crum in fifth.

In the second feature, Gibbs would move out to the early lead, with Millington moving through the field to challenge for the top spot. Millington would move to the lead on lap 15, with Gibbs giving chase. On lap 30, Gibbs made the move to retake the lead, and the duo would swap the position back and forth over the next five laps.

Gibbs finally took the position back, with Millington pressuring him for the lead. Gibbs would go on to squeak out the victory by a car length. Watson finished in third, followed by Huffman in fourth and Howard in fifth.

Cody DeMarmels took top honors in the Street Stocks feature, followed by Mark Whitten in second, Kevin Eby in third, Marshall Sutton in fourth and Carroll McKinney in fifth.

In the Super Trucks feature, it was Sheflon Clay scoring the victory, with Allen Huffman, Tanner Long, David Messer and Charlie Watson rounding out the top five.
