David McCoy found the best way to close out the regular season at Georgia’s Toccoa Raceway on Sunday night.

That was by scoring the victory in the Limited Late Model feature at the historic 5/16 mile clay oval.

The Franklin, North Carolina speedster beat out Billy Rushton to take the win, with Stephen Segars finishing in third, Drew Collins in fourth and Gus Simpson in fifth.

James Roulets, Scotty Chatham, Chad Puckett, David Conley and Jr Headen rounded out the top ten finishers.

With the win, McCoy also wrapped up the track’s Limited Late Model division King of the Highbanks championship for the season.

In other action, Adam Smith edged out McCoy to take the FASTRAK Pro Late Model finale. Colby Cannon finished in third, followed by Parker Herring in fourth and Ethan Hunter in fifth.

Smith’s win was the cherry on top of the 2016 King of the Highbanks championship for the division.

Nick Sellers was flagged as the winner in the 602 Sportsman/Hobby feature, but was protested after the race. Track officials said Sellers did not accept the protest, and was disqualified. Second place finisher Crandall Turner did accept the protest, and was found legal, inheriting the victory as a result.

Greg Ivester moved up to second, with Thomas Riggins in third, John Howard in fourth and David Conley in fifth.

Just as with McCoy and Smith, Turner’s win put a ribbon on the 2016 King of the Highbanks championship for him in the division.

Mark Wilbanks scored the victory in the Modified Street feature, with Billy Buffington in second, Robbie Campbell in third, Jennifer Everett in fourth and Otis Murray in fifth.

It was another case of the feature winner also taking the King of the Highbanks championship, as Wilbanks wrapped that up for the Modified Street division.

Wilbanks doubled up on the night, as he was also the winner in the Toccoa Pro Trucks feature. Eddie Puckett finished in second, and was the 2016 King of the Highbanks champion. Ralph Anderson came home in third, with Terry Calhoun in fourth.

Harley Holden took the win in the Stock 4 feature, with Shannon Etheridge in second. Etheridge claimed the King of the Highbanks championship in the division for the season. Kevin Kelly finished in third, followed by Shane Strickland in fourth and Shane Elliott in fifth.

Rocky Jones scored the victory in the Stock V8 feature, with Jeremy Jones, Chayse York, Evan Brown and James Cambbell rounding out the top five.

Matthew Furgerson came home in the eighth position, wrapping up his King of the Highbanks championship.

Jackie Holden took the win in the Front Wheel Drive feature, along with taking home the King of the Highbanks championship for him in the division. Travis Jamieson came home in second, with Jamie Reynolds in third, Shawn Nichols in fourth and Alex McElhannon in fifth.
