Johnny Pursley continued his Super Late Model hot streak Saturday night, as he scored the Ultimate Super Late Model Series victory at South Carolina’s Modoc Speedway.
Pursley, of Clover, South Carolina, held off Toccoa, Georgia’s Casey Roberts to record the win and take the $5,000 top prize.
It also marked his first series victory of the season, and the second of his career.
Roberts set fast time in qualifying, but Pursley powered to the lead, and went on to take the win. Roberts settled for second, with Brent Dixon in third, Anthony Sanders in fourth and Hunter Peacock in fifth.
Glenn Elliott, Kenny Collins, Brian Ligon, John Henderson, Jr. and Jimmy Sharpe, Jr. rounded out the top ten.
The Ultimate Super Late Model Series returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 3 at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama.
