Josh Berry led every lap of both 50-lap Late Model Stock features at Greenville-Pickens Speedway on Saturday night, winning both races in his first trip of the season to the historic Easley, South Carolina half-mile.

Berry led the field to the green in the first of the two features. He took the lead at the start, with Dylan Hall, Chase Purdy, Cody Haskins and Trey Gibson giving chase.

Kenneth Headen slowed on lap 10, drawing the first caution of the race. Berry took off on the restart and opened up a car length lead down the back straightaway. The race was interrupted again on lap 31, when Don Morgan’s car leaked oil on the track, necessitating a second caution flag.

Back under green, while Berry again held the lead, Hall and Purdy did battle for second, with Hall taking the position. Meanwhile, Gibson battled with Haskins for the fourth place.

When the checkered flag flew, it was Berry taking the win, with Hall finishing in second, followed by Purdy, Haskins and Gibson.

In the second Late Model Stock feature, the race had barely gotten underway before Tasha Kummer and R.A. Brown crashed on the backstretch on the opening lap to bring out the caution.

On the restart, Berry jumped to the lead, while Purdy, Scott Bishop, Ryan Walker and Kenneth Headen settled into the top five. The race was interrupted over the next three laps by two quick cautions. The first occurred when Purdy’s car slowed, with his night coming to an end. The second took place when Dylan Hall spun into turn four.

Back under green, Berry would retake the lead while behind him, Hall charged back through the field, moving to second on lap 21.

But up front, Berry went on to score his second win of the night. Hall, Bishop, Gibson and Ryan Walker rounded out the top five.

In other action, Joe Satterfield jumped out to the early lead of the Super Stock feature, and went on to score the victory. Tim Sams finished in second, followed by Ken Guthrie in third, Travis Cox in fourth and Stanley Pressley in fifth.

In the Renegade feature, Billy Brown was flagged the winner, but saw the win go away when he failed post-race technical inspection with an illegal rear end. That moved Bobby Emory to the victory, with Alexx Breazele moving to second, Steve Guthrie to third, Larry Nabors to fourth and Parker Jameson to fifth.

Zack Meinders took the victory in the Pure Stock feature, holding off his father, Chris Meinders for the win. Spencer Morgan finished in third, Ashley Granata in fourth and Buck Simmons in fifth.

Chad Redding led flag-to-flag to win the Four Cylinder feature. Hunter Evans, Tommy Davis, Ray Mullinax and Dannon Esco rounded out the top five.

Greenville-Pickens Speedway will be back in action on Saturday, July 16, as the Limited Late Models headline a five division card including the Renegades, Pure Stocks, Four Cylinders and Super Stocks.
