Justin Haley took home the last NASCAR K&N Pro Series East victory at Ohio’s Columbus Motor Speedway Saturday night in the NAPA 150.
The 17-year-old led a total of 125 laps to secure his second win of the season after topping both practice sessions and winning his first 21 Means 21 Pole Award earlier in the day at the .333-mile oval.
The Winamac, Indiana, native took the lead as the green flag waved and led the first 109 of 150 laps. A charging Kyle Benjamin over took Haley with 40 laps to go but lost the lead 25 laps later when he cut a tire in turn 4.
With 25 laps to go, Haley retook the lead and held off the field on the final restart to secure his celebration in the winner’s circle.
Austin Theriault finished in second, with Collin Cabre in third, Harrison Burton in fourth and Noah Gragson in fifth.
While John Holleman IV, Todd Gilliland, Hunter Baize, Christian Eckes and Ali Kern completed the top 10.
The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East will be back in action at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 16.
