Legends and Bandolero drivers returned to the quarter-mile Thunder Ring at Atlanta Motor Speedway for Week 2 action of the seven week Winter Flurry Series. Following the six feature races, drivers also had an opportunity to compete for the Dash for Cash among Legends or Bandolero competitors.

A tight points race has developed in the Semi-Pro division following the first Winter Flurry victory of series for Jensen Jorgensen. Jorgensen started from the pole and over the first dozen laps, battled for the top spot as he held off Dylan Murry and Christopher Clanton. An issue encountered by Clanton at lap 14 forced him out of the race.

On the ensuing restart, Murry was glued to Jorgensen’s bumper over the next two laps but he could not get by the leader. After Jorgensen held off the charge from Murry, he pulled away from the field with five laps remaining to secure the win. Murry’s second place finish in the feature race moved him into the top spot in the division point standing through two races.

In the Bandits feature race, Nathan Jackson held off Clay Thompson over the final three laps to capture the win. The pair started from the front row, but Thompson outdrove Jackson to take an early lead.

The battle lasted until lap eight when Thompson brought out the caution flag when he got loose and spun off of turn four. Despite falling to the back of the pack, Thompson drove through the field over the next 16 laps to pull up to the bumper of Jackson to finish second. Audrie Ruark finished third.

A spirited battle in the Outlaw feature saw Corey Heim and Rickie Springer battle for the win. Springer looked high and looked low but could not find a line that would get him to the front of the field. Heim held off Springer for the final 15 laps and earned the win. The victory helped Heim move into the Winter Flurry division points as he jumped ahead of Connor Younginer, who finished sixth in the feature race.

Dawson Fletcher earned his second consecutive Winter Flurry win in the Chargers division. It took Fletcher one lap from the third position to take the lead as he slipped past Canon Cochran in turn four to take the lead. Despite a handful of restarts, Fletcher held off Cochran and David Lawrence for the win. An entertaining race for second saw Cochran muscle past Lawrence over the final six laps to take the spot.

Kaden Honeycutt started from the pole and dominated the combined Masters/Pro feature in the second week of the Winter Flurry season. A handful of cautions in the back of the field slowed the pace, but on each subsequent restart, Honeycutt methodically moved to the front of pack and cruised to the win.

Despite getting shuffled to the back early in the race due to a caution, Robbie Woodall finished second. Tony Armbruster tied a career best with his second third-place finish in a Masters division race. James Meredith beat out Wes Potter to finish fourth.

It appeared that Blaise Crawford was going to cruise to an easy win in the Rookie Bandolero division. He started from the pole and led the first 18 laps without a challenge. Following a caution with two laps to go, Gage Roberts applied the pressure and off of turn four on the final lap looked to make a move for the win, but could not get past Crawford as the two headed towards the checkered flag. For Crawford, it was his second win in as many starts in a Rookie Bandolero race. Shelby Ruark finished third.

Following Week two of Winter Flurry action, drivers threw caution to the wind in the Dash for Cash challenge with money on the line. After a sixth place finish in his feature race earlier in the day, Connor Younginer earned the win in the Bandolero Dash for Cash. The Legends race saw Jensen Jorgensen dominate the race for his second victory of the day to take home the prize.
