Bryan Bernhardt Wins Late Model Feature At East Bay

Bryan Bernhardt made the final pass for the lead with two laps to go, and went on to score the Late Model victory Saturday night at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, FL.

The win in the 30-lap feature marked the second division victory of the year for Bernhardt at the famed “Clay By The Bay.”

David Pollen, Jr. finished in second, with Roger Crouse in third, Kenny Monahan in fourth and Shan Smith in fifth.

In other action, Roy Woodhouse picked up the V-8 Warrior feature win with Jeremy Simpson in second, Doug Morris in third, Randy Tyler in fourth and Raymond Vann in fifth.

Billy Howard, Jr. scored his very first win in the Limited Late Model Division. Forrest Gough, Paul Gibbs, Cody Allen and Jason Russell rounded the top five.

Tim Gay won his ninth Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stocks feature of the season. Buck Woodhouse finished in second, with Garry Sheffied in third, David Barwick II in fourth and Ronnie Heard in fifth.

Jeff Lacey picked up the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers win with Thomas Adams second, Wayne Kissam third, Darrell Taylor fourth and Kayla Jones fifth.

Action continues Thursday, on July 2 with the Firecracker Twin 25’s for the Late Models. The East Bay Sprints, Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers and the Micro Sprints will also be in action.
