It was a battle of the Reutimann family Saturday night at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, FL.
Buzzie Reutimann held off his son, former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series winner David Reutimann, to score the victory in the Gagel’s Open Wheel Modified feature at the famed “Clay By The Bay.”
It marked the elder Reutimann’s first victory of the year at the speedway. Rich Pratt finished in third, with Nate Bregenzer in third and Roger Crouse in fifth
In other action, Brian Barse scored up his first Foster’s Auto Truck Outlaw Fours feature victory of the season. Nick Hebrank finished in second, with Ronnie Heard third, Jake Hampton in fourth and Eric Knight in fifth.
John Bradley kept the first feature win of the year streak going with a win in the Limited Late Model feature. Paul Gibbs, Forrest Gough, Billy Howard, Jr. and Henry Burnside rounding out the top five.
In the V8 Warrior feature it was Jeremy Simpson that crossed the finish line first, only to see the win go away when he was disqualified in post-race tech for a shock extension. That gave Raymond Vann the win, with Nicholas Schneider in second, James Paes in third, Amanda Livernois in fourth and Jason Burnside in fifth.
Michael Hart won the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers feature, with Bailey Purcell coming home in second, George Handy in third, Stephen Morris in fourth and Kayla Jones in fifth.
