Dexter Canipe, Jr. started the day setting the pace in qualifying, and ended it in victory lane with a win in the Bojangles Late Model feature Saturday night at Hickory Motor Speedway in Newton, NC.

Canipe would grab the early lead as Shane Huffman would use the preferred inside line to get by Shane Lee for second. Lap 16 would see Matt Piercy and Dan Moore get together, bringing out the first caution ending the night.

On the restart, Canipe would face a challenge by Huffman but would retain the top spot. Canipe would drive on to his first win of the 2015 season, while Huffman would bring his ride home in second. Lee finished in third, with Piercy in fourth and Wes Burton in fifth.

In other action, Bob Hapeman drew the pole position for the Sportsman Racing Classics vintage car feature, with Bill Webb to his outside. Jeremy Pelfrey led the field to the green flag for the T-Mobile Limited Late Model feature. Pelfrey would take the lead on the start and have clear sailing for the first nine laps until a caution bunched up the field. On the restart, Monty Cox passed Pelfrey for the lead.

A multi-car accident in turn one brought out the caution. On the ensuing restart, Mark Johnson would move to the lead, and went on to score the win. Travis Byrd finished in second, with Cox in third, Jake Ruggles in fourth and Adam Congrove in fifth.

Charlie Neill would jump to the early lead in the Street Stocks feature, and went on to score the victory. Cody DeMarmels finished in second, followed by Larry Mosher in third, Marshall Sutton fourth and Mark Whitten in fifth.
