Bronson Wins In Modifieds, Late Models At East Bay

Kyle Bronson doubled up on Saturday night at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, FL, as he drove to the victory in both the Gagel’s Open Wheel Modified and the Late Model features at the famed “Clay By The Bay”.

In the Open Wheel Modified feature, Bronson edged out Travis Varnadore for the victory, with Billy Howard, Sr. finishing in third, Matt Miller in fourth and Dale Kelley in fifth.

In the Late Model feature, Bronson beat out Doug Horton for the win, while Shan Smith finished in third, with Bryan Bernhardt in fourth and Kenny Monahan in fifth.

In other action, Billy Dukes, Jr. topped the Foster’s Auto Truck Outlaw Fours for his first win in just his second outing after an 18 year absence from racing. Brandon Yates finished in second, with Mark Moniz third, Stephen Hohlbaugh fourth and Nick Hebrank fifth.

Jimmy Baker won his first Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stocks feature of the year, with David Barwick II, Dennis Williams, Buck Woodhouse and William Burnside rounding out the top five.

Jason Webster picked up the East Bay Sprints win with Keith Butler second, Tony Agin third, Kerry Gilbert fourth and Tim George fifth.

Jeremy Simpson scored his second V8 Warriors feature win of the season. Nicholas Schneider finished second, with Kevin Cassady third, Roy Woodhouse fourth and Jason Burnside fifth.

In the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bomber feature, Jeff Lacey picked up the win, with Patrick Fiore, Sr. in second, Kayla Jones third, C.J. Smock fourth and Thomas Adams fifth.

Billy Holmes appeared to have the Limited Late Model feature wrapped up, but spun on the final lap in turn four, handing the win to Forrest Gough. Ed Hill finished second, with Paul Gibbs in third, Randy Shields in fourth and Ryan Shields fifth. Holmes recovered to finish in sixth.

Brandon Love picking up his first Micro Sprints win at East Bay, with Cliff Evans in second, Paul Seburn third, Matt Wedgewood fourth and David Romine fifth.
