Doug Horton Wins Late Model Feature At East Bay

Doug Horton proved to be the man to beat Saturday night at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, FL, as he drove to the win in the 30-lap Late Model feature at the famed “Clay By The Bay.”

Horton took over the lead on lap six, and drove away to score the win. Steve Mathis, Jr. finished in second, with Bryan Bernhardt in third, Phillip Cobb in fourth and David Pollen, Jr. in fifth.

In other action, Tim Gay picked up his second Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stocks feature. Thomas Burnside finished in second, with David Barwick II third, Matthew Grissom in fourth and Dennis Williams in fifth.

Dorsey Strickland led all 15 laps to score the win in the Micro Sprints feature. Cliff Evans, Paul Seburn, Steve Heisler and Joe Bartow rounded out the top five.

John Moore picked up the win in the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bomber feature. Jeff Lacey finished in second, followed by Kayla Jones in third, C.J. Smock in fourth and Thomas Adams in fifth.
