NeSmith Chevy Weekly Racing Series Set To Open

The NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series for Dirt Late Model competitors opens its 2015 season with Week 1 competition this weekend featuring four races in three states for the Cartersville, GA based series. For 2015, the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series will consist of 28 tracks in ten different states, including co-sanctioning with three other dirt late model series.

NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Week 1 competition will begin this Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS. On Saturday night, NeSmith Weekly Racing Series action will take place at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL. Two special events will also highlight Week 1 for the NeSmith Weekly Racing Series.

Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS will host a $1,000-to-win Highway 45 Challenge Series race to kick off the 2015 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season. Two-time NeSmith Weekly Racing Series West Region Champion Jim McDuffie of Meridian, MS tuned-up for this race two weeks ago with a pre-season win in the Battle of the Sates race at Whynot Motorsports Park.

Southern Raceway in Milton, FL will present the $800-to-win first ever event for the NeSmith Panhandle Challenge Series on Saturday night. Southern Raceway, Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL and Northwest Florida Speedway in Baker, FL will team up to present the NeSmith Panhandle Challenge Series in 2015 that will also award NeSmith Weekly Racing Series National points.

Other NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series tracks that will be opening in the coming weeks include Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS with a double-header on April 3 and April 4, Flomaton Speedway with a NeSmith Panhandle Challenge Series race on April 4, and St. Tammany Raceway in Lacombe, LA on April 4, all in Week 2 competition.

Week 3 of the 2015 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season will see season openers on April 11 at Battleground Speedway in Highlands, TX, Camden Speedway in Camden, TN and Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series will also co-sanction races with the Southern Crate Late Model Series that will feature 15 races at seven different tracks in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. Drivers in the SCLMS will also compete for NeSmith Weekly Racing Series National points.

The season opener for the SCLMS will be a $1,000-to-win race on April 4 at Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore, TX. Other tracks on the 2015 SCLMS schedule are Sabine Raceway in Many, LA, 171 Speedway in Leesville, LA, 67 Raceway in Texarkana, AR, Underwood Speedway in Chatham, LA, Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, LA, and Arklatex Speedway in Vivian, LA.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series and the National Championship Racing Association (NCRA) will co-sanction a series of 13 races at seven different race tracks in Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri during the 2015 season that will award NeSmith Weekly Racing Series National points.

The 2015 season opener for the NeSmith/NCRA Late Model Series will be at 81 Speedway in Wichita, KS on May 30. Other tracks hosting 2015 NeSmith/NCRA races will be Thunderhill Speedway in Mayetta, KS, Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, KS, Belleville Highbanks in Belleville, KS, Black Hawk Speedway in Meeker, OK, RPM Speedway in Hays, KS, and Nevada Speedway in Nevada, MO.
