Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, SC is set to embark on its 52nd season of racing this Friday, March 13.
On the racing card will be six divisions of competition including the NASCAR Whelen All American Series competition in the Late Model Stock, Renegade, BM Modified and Front Wheel Drive divisions. The INEX/US Legends will also compete.
The 50-lap Late Model Stock feature will pit reigning AMS Track Champion David Roberts against a highly competitive field of drivers including, the duo of Kyle and Kason Plott, brothers from Marietta, GA. Kyle was the 2014 South Carolina Division 1 Rookie of the Year. Also scheduled to compete at AMS will be Justin Sorrow of Belton, SC 2014, who was the runner up in the Late Model Stock Standings and the 2013 AMS Track Champion, along with R.A. Brown of Chapin, SC. Brown, who scored six wins in 2014, is expected to be on of the top contenders for the track championship title.
Trey Gibson of Easley, SC will also be returning to competition at Anderson, as will multi-time Track Champion Marty Ward of Marietta, SC, former Legends and Pro Truck competitor Cody Haskins of Marietta, GA, Mitchell Mote of Greenville, SC, and Marietta, GA’s Joe Wilder, the 2014 AMS Rookie of the Year.
