Campbell Wins Renegade Summer Slammer At Anderson

WILLIAMSTON, SC – The Renegade division took center stage Friday night at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, SC, as Shawn Campbell held off Billy Brown to score the victory in the Renegade Summer Slammer at the fast Palmetto State 3/8 mile.

Bryan Beckner charged his way to a third place finish, with Chris Whitfield in fourth and Jack Robertson in fifth.

Jonathan Ragsdale, Jimmy Rowland, Joe Allen, Doug Miller and Blake Gregory rounded out the top 10.

In other action, Chuck Mitchell raced his way to the BM Modifieds feature win, with Casey Tucker trailing in second. B.J. Thrasher came home in third, with Alan Mitchell in fourth and Matt Meyer in fifth.

Zane Smith topped the field to bring home the Legends feature victory. Rex Brown finished second, with Riley Halverson third, Justin Ashley fourth and Lee Jordan fifth.

Chad Campbell proved to be the man to beat in the Mini Stock feature, holding off B.J. Thrasher for the win. David Darnell crossed the line in third, with Ben Kay fourth and Brian Porter fifth.

Buck Simmons took the win in the Street Stocks feature. Freddy Hale, Jr., Travis Shelton, Charlie Meiders and Furman Craft rounded out the top five.

Ted Somero topped the field in the Super Renegades feature. Rick Kelly followed in second, with Michael Mote in third, Billy Coker in fourth and Whitey Suttles in fifth.

C.J. Huitt grabbed the win in the Front Wheel Drive feature. Donovan Beacham came home in second, with Chris Harvell third, Kristen Carnes fourth and Wayne Cowart fifth.
