LAVONIA, GA – Mother Nature spoiled what was expected to be a big night of Winged Sprint Car action at Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, GA Friday night.
Due to the heavy rain falls from two thunderstorms that dumped precipitation on the track between 5:30 and 6:30 PM, track and series officials made the call to postpone the “Lavonia Night of Thunder.”
Officials are working on a make up date for the event, which was to have featured the USCS Winged Sprint Cars, the USCS 600 Mini-Sprints, the FASTRAK Pro Late Models and local racing on the Lavonia quarter-mile dirt track.
