TAMPA, FL – Bryan Bernhardt moved to the lead with four laps to go, and went on to score his first Late Model victory at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL since 2011.
Bernhardt and Dave Schmuass brought the field to green, but it would be Dalton Myers jumping out to the early lead.
The first caution of the event flew on lap four when Adam Boyd slowed in turn three. Myers would lead the field to the restart with Schmauss, Josh Peacock, Mavrick Varnadore and Shan Smith the top five. Peacock led for half a lap until Myers fought back taking the lead once again on lap five. Myers would continue to hold off the field until lap 18 when Jesse James Foster spun in front of the leader in turn four with Myers nearly clipping him.
On the restart Myers continued to lead as Bernhardt made his way back up to the fourth position trying to reel in the leader. Caution came out on lap 18 with Varnadore spinning in turn two as Bernhardt went by him on the outside. Myers again took the green flag but coming out of turn two it was Bernhardt splitting Peacock and Schmauss to take over the second position and would take over the lead on lap twenty one. Bernharndt went on to win his first feature of the 2014 season. Josh Peacock finished in second, with Dalton Myers in third, David Schmauss in fourth and Mavrick Varnadore in fifth.

The next feature was the Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stocks as Buck Woodhouse and David Barwick, II made up the front row for the 15 lap feature. Kay would take over the lead on lap two, and would continue to lead until the first caution came out on lap seven when Matt Bozeman spun in turn four ending his night. Caution would come out again on lap 11 when Larry Chumney, II spun in turn two. Kay would lead the rest of the race picking up his first win of the season. Barse took the green, and would lead the way until Roberto Morfin, Jr. stopped on the front stretch after breaking a distributor cap.
