McCoy Scores Southeastern Late Model Win At Lavonia

LAVONIA, GA – No matter what the track, no matter what the series, it appears that there’s just no keeping David McCoy out of victory lane.

The “Bad Boy”, as his fans call him, was once again in the winner’s circle on Friday night, this time with a win in the Southeastern Late Model feature at Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, GA.

McCoy outdistanced Zack Mitchell to pick up the win on the 3/8 mile clay oval. Jimmy Johnson came across the finish line in third, with Rodney Peters in fourth and Kenny Collins in fifth.

In other action, Michael Segars scored the victory in the Modified Street feature. Mark Wilbanks came home in second, with John Teasley in third, Daniel Dosler in fourth and Keith Baker in fifth.

Mike Davidson out ran James Simpson to grab the win in the Hobby/602 feature. James Nash finished in third, with Gerald Stanley in fourth and Matthew Bryant in fifth.

Henry Vaughn was the winner in the Stock 4 feature. Bo Rutherford, Holten Bradshaw, Mitchell Godfrey and Tony Babb rounded out the top five.

In Rookie 4 action, Jeremy Hicks came away with the victory, with Adam Partain in second, Mallory Burdett in third and Mathew Ferguson in fourth.

Daniel Reynolds scored the win in the Front Wheel Drive feature. Jackie Holden came home in second, followed by Robbie Cook in fourth and Harley Holden in fifth.
