Anders Doubles Up With Anderson Late Model Victories

WILLIAMSTON, SC – Anthony Anders got his weekend off to a very good start Friday night, as the Greenville, SC speedster swept both Late Model Stock features at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, SC.

In the first feature, Anders outdistanced Easley, SC’s Randy Porter for the victory. Defending track champion Justin Sorrow came home in third, with David Roberts in fourth and Eric Stokes in fifth.

In the second feature, Anders held off R.A Brown to score the win. Sorrow finished in third, with Porter in fourth and Stokes in fifth.

In other action, Williamston’s own Chad Campbell beat out B.J. Thrasher to pick up the Mini Stock feature victory. Luke Sorrow crossed the line in third, followed by Ben Kay in fourth and Colby Howard in fifth.

In BM Modified action, Douglasville, GA’s Casey Tucker topped the field for the win. Matt Myer finished in second, with Alan Mitchell in third, Shon Gibson in fourth and Shaun Mize in fifth.

Andrew Cordell held off Chris Whitfield for the Renegade victory. Jack Robertson, Parker Jameson and Jimmy Rowland rounded out the top five.

Barry Tollison, Jr. was first under the checkered flag to score the Super Renegade win. Barry Tollison, Sr. finished in second, with Camden Francis in third, David Whitaker in fourth and Rick Kelley in fifth.

Brian King scored the win in the Front Wheel Drive feature. Chris Harvell finished in second, with B.J. Davis in third, C.J. Huitt in fourth and Jack Hooper in fifth.

Anderson Motor Speedway will be back in action on Friday, May 30, featuring action from the Late Model Stocks, Mini Stocks, BM Modifieds, U.S. Legends, Super Renegades and Front Wheel Drives.
