Lab results from the tire samples on both rear tires of Jak Kicklighter’s race car have confirmed both tires have been chemically treated and the Savannah, GA driver has been disqualified from his second-place finish in the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series event on February 7 at Golden Isles Speedway in Waynesville, GA.

In addition to the disqualification from the February 7 afternoon race with loss of points and prize money, Kicklighter has also been fined $500 and will receive a 30-day suspension from NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series competition.

Drivers that finished third on back in the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series season opener as a part of the Super Bowl of Racing will move up one spot in the finishing order. Their points and earnings have also been adjusted to reflect this change after Kicklighter’s disqualification.

The sniffer did not detect an issue with the tires on race winner Ray Cook of Brasstown, NC, or third-place finisher Joey Coulter of Concord, NC. The tire samples for Cook and Coulter also came back with results that they were not chemically treated.
