Travis Swaim led the first 149 laps of Friday night’s UARA-STARS 150 lap Late Model feature at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, SC, but he failed to lead the most important one – the last lap. That honor belonged to Ronnie Bassett, Jr., who went on to score the victory over Swaim.

Swaim held the lead coming to the white flag, when Bassett, Jr. slammed into the rear of his car, sending Swaim high, and allowing Bassett to move to the inside.

The two were side by side when the white flag dropped on the race. As the duo headed into turn one, Swaim tried to pinch Bassett off in order to make a run off of turn two. Unfortunately for Swaim, he lost more control of his car than Bassett did. That allowed Bassett to pull away from him and lead the final half lap and receive the checkered flag as the winner.

The victory was the fifth for Bassett in the UARA division at the Anderson Motor Speedway. finished second, with Garrett Campbell in third, Dillon Bassett in fourth, and R.A. Brown in fifth. Brandon Jones, Ben Rhodes, Kaz Grala, Tyler English, and Will Burns rounded out the top 10.

In other action, Charlie Hooper scored the win in the Front Wheel Drive feature. B.J. Davis led the first lap of the race before he relinquished the top spot to Brian King. Once out front King pulled away from the field and received the checkered flag. During the middle of the race Hooper battled past B.J. Davis to move into the second position. Hooper crossed the finish line second behind King. Following the race King failed to pass post race inspection and the official victory was awarded to Hooper. B.J. Davis finished second, with Robert Hall third, Tommy Davis fourth, and Casey Burkett in fifth.

Donald Vaughn claimed the victory in the Carolina Vintage Cars race. Phil Terry led the first four laps of the race before he was passed by Johnny O’Neal. O’Neal led until lap 15 when he was passed by Vaughn. Once out front Vaughn pulled away from the field and took the checkered flag. O’Neal finished second, with Phil Terry in third, Chuck Thorne in fourth, and Chad Franklin in fifth.
