Anthony Anders added to his victory total and points lead Friday night at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Easley, SC, but he had a little trouble early. Anders was the top qualifier in the Late-Model Stock main event, but drew a six so the top six cars were inverted.

After starting sixth, it took Anders 19 laps, almost half the race, before he managed to pass Marty Ward for the lead, and drove away the last half of the race.

“I was depressed today, but one of my men told me I was just over driving the car in the corners, and when the race started I drove in about three car lengths further than everyone else and saw they were right,” Anders said. “Once I saw they were right, I could drive on in.”

Defending champion Toby Porter finished second, with Ward third, last week’s winner Justin Sorrow finished fourth and Roger Powell finished fifth.

Ryan Walker was sixth, with Ron Hall seventh. Maxie Bush was eighth, as Brandon Fox and Joey McKinney completed the field.

In other action, Andrew Cordell worked his way through traffic in the Renegades feature, as Lee Alexander pulled away in front, but once Cordell hit open track, he wasted little time running Alexander down then pulling in front. It was Cordell’s fourth victory of the season. Bobby Emory waited until the last corners of the last lap before taking second away from Alexander. Daniel Jameson was fourth and Parker Jameson finished fifth.

Mike Mote had pressure late but held on to win the Charger division main event. Chris Harvell finished second with James Johnson third. Andy Norris finished fourth and Travis Cox was fifth.

Dylan Crowe led from start to finish in the Street Stock main even, with Buck Simmons coming from the rear of the field to finish second. Freddy Hale, Jr.. was third and Tyler Gibson was fourth. Curt Allen finished fifth.

Tim Lollis won over Jamie Altop in the Trucks main event. It was his second victory of the season. Bob Root finished third and Greg Bohannon was fourth.

Charlie Hooper went from worst to first before he got to the green flag in the 4 Cylinder division, and Don Tavernia was second. Ray Mullinax took third, with Joey Tedfort fourth, and Clark Harris fifth.
