With seven laps to go, Kyle Benjamin powered his way around Ryan Moore and sped away to score his third straight Super Late Model feature win in night six of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, FL.
Stephen Wallace led the field down to green in the 35 lap feature, with Ryan Moore jumping out to the early lead on the drop of the green flag. It’s a spot he would hold for most of the feature. Meanwhile, Benjamin worked his way forward from a sixth place starting spot. He would move into second spot, giving chase to the leader.
Red Eye 100 champ Stephen Nasse would make hard contact with the out side wall in turn one. Nasse was all right, but his night was over.
On the restart, Moore would hold onto the lead over Benjamin, while Devin McCleod, Wallace and Kenzie Ruston would fight for position behind.
The final restart came on lap 23, with Moore moving back into the lead. But two laps later, Benjamin made a strong run, and three laps later, Benjamin would make his way around Moore, and moved away for the win.
Moore would hold on for second, with Wallace in third, Ruston in fourth, and Dylan Kwasniewski in fifth.
In other action, Brandon Johnson topped the field to score the win in the 100-lap Pro Late Model feature. Rich Clouser came home second, with Cody Coughlin in third, Brad May in fourth and Alex Guennette in fifth.
Scott Reeves came home with the victory in the Pro-Truck feature. Jessica Murphy finished second, with Michael Burns in third, Husdson O’Neal in fourth, and Derrick Reeves in fifth.
Woody Pitkat picked up his third NASCAR Modified feature win, as he beat out Chuck Hossfeld for the win. Andy Seuss, Jimmy Zacharias, and Eric Goodale rounded out the top five.
