The first night of racing in fall of 2012 is in the books for Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, GA, as racers and fans gathered for what was a great night of racing under clear blue skies.
The Enduro division which saw a new winner for the 2012 season. Subbing for Cody Hale and rolling into victory lane was Derrick “Duck” Pierce of Americus with Michael Hutto of Cordele finishing in second and Jimmy Nasworthy of Fitzgerald in third.
In other action, Go Karts started kicked off the racing program for the evening as William Downs of Tifton scored the win with Doug Sanneman of Warner Robins in second and Roger Sears of Hawkinsville completing the top three.
The Legends division came next for their scheduled fifteen lap event and it was Alex Coffey of McDonough picking up his fifth win of the season with Phillip Young of Dallas finishing second and Covington’s CJ Pucko finishing third.

The final Pro Challenge race of the season had Pell City, Alamaba’s Joseph Pilato picking up the win and winning all of the Pro Challenge races at “The Melon” this season. Rounding out the top three were Zachary Ayers of Atlanta and Joe Wilder of Marietta.
The next race at Watermelon Capital Speedway will be October 6, and will feature racing in Go Karts, Bandoleros, Legends, Mini Stock, Enduro and the final regular season race of 2012 for Outlaw Latemodels.
