Kenny Collins Scores Limited Late Model Victory At Toccoa

For several weeks, the headlines out of Toccoa Speedway in Toccoa, GA have all been about David McCoy’s domination of the track’s Limited Late Model features.

But last Saturday night, Kenny Collins brought a halt to that, as he topped the field to pick up the feature win over Stephen Segars.  McCoy would come home third, with Brant Carey in fourth and Ronald Woods in fifth.

In other action, “Hot Rod” LaMance proved to be man to beat in the FASTRAK Crate Late Model feature, as he scored the victory.  Greg Pilgrim ran second, with Kenny Collins in third, Jimmy Roberts, Jr. in fourth, and Steven Dockery in fifth.

Daniel Fowler was the first under the checkered flag to score the Hobby feature win.  Josh Thurmond finished second, followed by Kenny Peeples in third, Ray Hamilton in fourth, and David Roberts in fifth.

In Modified Street action, Justin Dowell scored the feature victory.  Josh Thurmond came home second, with Tim Bohannon, Dough Sellers, and Tracy Addison rounding out the top five.

Adam Smith was first across the finish line to pick up the Stock 4 victory.  Justin Lord came across in second, followed by Jackie Holden in third, Mitchell Godfrey in fourth, and Newman Presnell in fifth.

Brandon Reed drove his way into victory lane in the Rookie 4 feature.  Randy Edmonds ran second, with Brandon Stroud in third, Jesse Ivester in fourth, and Donny Burns in fifth.

In the Front Wheel Drive feature, it was Jackie Holden picking up the win, with Trey Chapman in the runner-up spot.  Holten Bradshaw came across in third, with Wayne Chapman in fourth, and Cody Smith in fifth.

Toccoa Speedway will be closed for the next two weeks, Sept. 29 and Oct. 6, to allow for track improvements with the addition of guardrails to the dogleg on the backstretch of the speedway.  Action is slated to return on Oct. 13.
