Below is a recap of the Larry Fleeman Memorial at Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, Ga.

10:40 p.m. — That will do it for our live coverage from Gresham Motorsports Park. Stay tuned to Raceweek Illustrated for any updates from post-race inspection. Thanks for spending your Saturday night with us.

10:34 p.m. — Davis on the win: “I’m real satisfied with the effort. We had a real good race car all day.”

On the battle with Robbins: “It was a real hard battle. He got me loose the first time I passed him and I gave him two more shots. I had to go because Russell was coming.”

10:32 p.m. — Your top 10:

  1. Spencer Davis
  2. Anderson Bowen
  3. Colt James
  4. T.J. Reiad
  5. Hunter Robbins
  6. Kyle Plott
  7. Michael Lance
  8. Cody Coughlin
  9. Brady Boswell
  10. Jeff Fultz

CHECKERED FLAG — Davis wins the caution-free Larry Fleeman Memorial. It’s his second win of the night — not bad for a 13-year-old.

Lap 98 — Davis has clear track in front of him. Bowen clears lap traffic, but the lead is back to a full second.

Lap 95 — Bowen closes to about four car lengths, but there is a lap car between him and Davis.

Lap 90 — 10 laps to go — Davis has a 1-second lead over Bowen.

Lap 88 — Bowen is all over Robbins for second. Give him the spot in turn 4.

Lap 85 — The lap cars aren’t giving Davis a break. His lead is down to less than a second.

Lap 79 — Davis has a 1.5-second lead, but he’s staring at a lot of lap traffic out of his windshield.

Lap 76 — Fleeman is off the pace. He pulls into the pits with engine woes.

Lap 70 — Fleeman’s engine sounds a little sour as it roars by the main grandstand. He’s lost some ground to Robbins and more to Davis.

Lap 64 — Davis has stretched his lead to 1 second over Robbins. Fleeman is keeping the pressure on for second place.

Lap 60 — Meanwhile, Bowen has moved up to fourth and has brought James with him in fifth. They’re about to be a part of the battle for the lead.

Lap 57 — Robbins isn’t going away. He grabs second back from Fleeman and looks to get back to Davis, who didn’t exactly pass him cleanly.

Lap 54 — Davis uses Robbins up in turn 2 and grabs the lead. Fleeman pounces and moves to second. He wants more.

Lap 50 — Robbins won’t give up, despite getting some shoves from Davis. His car is wider than an Oldsmobile 98 right now.

Lap 47 — Davis and Robbins continue to duel side by side. The gloves are off, and we’re not even to halfway.

Lap 43 — Davis drives into turn 3 under Robbins. They lean on each other. Robbins fights him off again.

Lap 41 — By the same token, Fleeman is two mistakes away from leading this thing.

Lap 35 — Davis isn’t going to leave Robbins alone. The battle keeps raging.

Lap 31 — Davis drives into turn 1 under Robbins, but he can’t complete the pass. The dust up brings Fleeman back into the mix.

Lap 25 — Brandon Brilliant is up to 16th. We’re fairly certain these guys are fans.

Lap 24 — Senter slows and heads to the pits.

Lap 21 — Davis can drive his car a little lower and a little deeper in the corner than the other leaders. This ability could come in handy later.

Lap 18 — You could throw a blanket over the top three cars right now. Robbins still holds serve.

Lap 12 — Davis is turning up the heat on Robbins. He keeps peeking to Robbins’ inside.

Lap 9 — Reaid has settled into the fourth position, with Senter rounding out the top five. Then it’s Bowen, Plott, James, Lance and Boswell.

Lap 5 — Move Davis to second as Fleeman falls to third.

Lap 3 — Robbins moves to the inside of Fleeman in turn 1 and takes the lead.

GREEN FLAG — Fleeman jumps out to the lead. Spencer gets caught on the outside as Robbins moves to second.

10 p.m. — The invert puts Fleeman and Davis on the front row.

9:48 p.m. — Fleeman on the win: “I got a lot of emotions running heavy. We got this one and I hope we can get the next one. This is all for you, dad.”

9:46 p.m. — This is going to be an emotional win for Fleeman. Larry Fleeman was his father, and this is his memorial night.

CHECKERED FLAG — Fleeman scores the win with Bates a distant second. Wragg, Murphy and Davidson round out the top five.

Lap 23 — Fleeman’s lead is now 1.8 seconds. He has all the right moves in lap traffic.

Lap 19 — Fleeman is starting to show a little more muscle. He’s pushed his advantage to a half second.

Lap 13 — Davidson has dropped anchor. Wragg took third from him a few laps ago, and now Murphy muscles fourth away from him.

Lap 10 — Fleeman still leads, but Bates is right in his tire tracks. It’s a two-car race for the top spot.

Lap 3 — Fleeman dives to the inside of Davidson in turn 3. Give him the lead off turn 4. Bates follows to second.

9:35 p.m. — GREEN FLAG — Davidson gets the break, but Fleeman gets the best start. Give Davidson the lead and Fleeman second.

9:31 p.m. — The Outlaw Late Models are on the track for their 35-lap feature. Your lineup:

  1. Mike Davidson
  2. Matt Wragg
  3. Jason Bates
  4. Russell Fleeman
  5. David Murphy
  6. B.J. Fisher
  7. Terry Martin

9:28 p.m. — Davis does a few doughnuts on the frontstretch. His thoughts on the win: “We finally got the truck back working.” He then proceeded to call out Cody Haskins, who has dominated the Truck races here but has since moved on.

Davis will try to make it a double. He’s also in the Pro Late Model race later this evening.

CHECKERED FLAG — Davis cruises to the victory. He’s followed by Compton, Kevin Vassar, Matt Vassar and Weahunt

Lap 25 — Davis has stretched his lead to 4 seconds.

Lap 12 — Wallace slows and heads to the pits. We stay green.

Lap 11 — And that lead is growing.

Lap 7 — Davis holds a 3 car length lead over Compton…

RESTART Lap 6 — Top 5: Davis – Compton – Kevin Vassar – Wallace – Weahunt

CAUTION Lap 5 — For debris. More pieces of Matt Vassar’s truck have fallen off.

RESTART Lap 2 — Davis and Compton split Kevin Vassar on the restart. Give Davis the lead in turn 1.

CAUTION Lap 2 — Matt Vassar hooks Riley off turn 2. Riley spins and takes the left side of Vassar’s truck off.

9:12 p.m. — GREEN FLAG — Vassar jumps to the lead with Riley in two. Compton gets a great start and moves to fourth.

9:10 p.m. — We’re getting ready for the 35-lap Truck feature. Here’s your lineup:

  1. Kevin Vasser
  2. Emilee Riley
  3. Matt Vassar
  4. Kristen Wallace
  5. Spencer Davis
  6. Conrad Compton
  7. Ronnie Weahunt
  8. Taylor Dorner

9:05 p.m. — Daniel on the win (and Chadwick’s restart): “He jump started way back there. He messed himself out of the whole race… He ran off and left me.”

Carlisle on his first win: “It’s indescribable. We worked so hard. To me, it’s just the same as a late model win.”

9:04 -p.m. — Chadwick is upset. He speeds off from victory lane.

9:02 p.m. — Carlisle is your Renegade winner. As it turns out, his car is a Renegade car, not a Sportsman. He does a burnout on the frontstretch.

Lap 5 — BLACK FLAG — Chadwick gets the black flag for jumping the restart. Daniel is your winner.

Lap 4 — GREEN FLAG — Chadwick gets a big jump and catches Daniel sleeping. He leads by 7 car lengths.

Lap 3 — We’re going to have a GREEN-WHITE-CHECKERED finish. Top 5: Chadwick – Daniel – Mobley – Widener – Carlisle – Martin.

8:58 p.m. — CAUTION FLAG — After a 50-minute red flag, the cars have roared back to life and are rolling. There is only one Renegade left in the field — Marty Martin, who will win by default.

8:50 p.m. — We’ve just learned that the fluid in turn 2 was racing fuel. It’s almost mopped up.

8:45 p.m. — Cleanup continues, and the crew is making some headway. The track is still pretty wet, however.

8:30 p.m. — The cars are now being taking away on two flatbeds, but there is a lot of fluid to clean up. It may be a good time to go get a sandwich.

8:18 p.m. — A trio of wreckers are working different routes to pull the cars apart. For the record, everyone sitting in the trackside parking area appear to be OK.

8:12 p.m. — Both drivers are OK, but they’re staying in their cars until crews can pull the cars apart.

8:08 p.m. — RED FLAG — This is going to be quite a tough task. Both drivers are still in their  cars, which are laying on each other. Additionally, the catchfence has been bent after Childers’ car hit into it wheels first.

CAUTION Lap 3 — Childers and Hubbard tangle in turn 2. Childers’ car gets airborn and lands on its side on Hubbard’s Camaro. Big trouble.

Lap 2 — Two items of note. First, our lineup was way off. Secondly, the renegades and sportsman are running at the same time.

Lap 1 — Chadwick rides Mobley up the track in turn 3. Give Chadwick the lead off turn 4.

8:05 p.m. — The Renegades and Sportsman cars are on the track. They’ll also go for 25 laps. Your lineup:

  1. Nathan Carlisle
  2. Robert Hubbard
  3. Marty Martin
  4. Matthew Widener
  5. John Michael Mobley
  6. Jackie Daniel
  7. Mike Childers
  8. Jeff Chadwick

8 p.m. — Aaron Calvert on the win (and on his early-race battle with Scotty Beck): “I saw him get a little loose. I just wanted to race him clean. I feel like we had the best car and could get by him, but I wanted to do it cleanly. I knew he had some problems and I hate that. I wished I could have raced him for it, but it is what it is.”

CHECKERED FLAG — Calvert gets the win, followed by Embry, Burgess, Cantrell and Minnielly.

Lap 19 — Calvert has put about four car lengths between himself and Embry. Burgess is a distant third.

RESTART Lap 17 — Top 5: Calvert – Embry – Burgess – Cantrell – Minnielly. Only 5 cars remain on the track. Neither of the Hicks made the start.

CAUTION Lap 18 — The caution is for Beck’s stalled car, which is rolling again. Nevertheless, he takes his car to the pits.

Lap 18 — Give Calvert the lead off turn 2. And Beck has a problem. He slows and stalls in turn 3.

Lap 17 — Calvert shoves Beck into turn 3 and pulls low in turn 4. They’re side-by-side for the lead.

Lap 14 — Calvert hasn’t let Beck get away. In fact, he’s looking to pounce, pulling within a car length of the leader.

Lap 10 — Called it. Thrasher slows and heads to the pits with an engine issue. We suspect overheating.

Lap 9 — Thrasher has an issue. Water is pouring out of the hood. He may overheat soon.

Lap 6 — Thrasher wants more. He’s all over Calvert for second. They touch, but Calvert holds on to his car and the position.

Lap 3 — Thrasher takes third from Embry in turn 3.

Lap 1 — Beck and Calvert battle for the lead. Give it to Beck off turn 4.

7:25 p.m. — Dalton Grindle has been fast here, but he hasn’t put together a complete race yet. He likes his chances tonight. First objective: Stay out of trouble. He starts 13th.

7:10 p.m. — The weather is perfect here. No rain in sight and temperatures close to 80.

7 p.m. — Late model teams had a  10-minute session to work on their cars. That session is wrapping up and will be followed by a 30-minute autograph session.
